If you bought your policy before 1.30pm (AEST) on 4 June 2018…

…you’re covered:

  • To cancel or make changes to your holiday if your pre-paid arrangements have been affected by the Fuego volcanic eruption and you can no longer continue with your holiday as originally planned.
  • Under ‘Emergency medical’ if you’re overseas and have been injured or hurt.

If you bought your policy on or after 1.30pm (AEST) on 4 June 2018…

…you don’t have cover for anything arising from or related to the Fuego volcanic eruption.

As it has now happened and been published by many news outlets, we would not consider it to be unexpected if you or your holiday are affected by the Fuego volcanic eruption.

Any questions?

If you’re concerned about what might be covered and what that means for you, email us here – and we’ll get right back to you.

What do you need to do?

  • If you need to make a claim for cancellation or changes to your holiday, the best place to start is with the companies you booked your holiday through. They should be able to assist you with getting refunds and providing the supporting documentation that we require with your claim.
  • When you’re ready to claim, just click through to express claims and follow the steps.

What if things change?

We are keeping an eye on this situation, and will update this advice if there are any changes.
