I'm over 50. Do I need to do anything differently?

There may be a couple of pre-existing conditions you need to declare, so please pay close attention to the medical questions we ask in the online application. If so, our website will direct you through the process, and we will tell you if we are able to cover your conditions.

If we can cover your conditions, the cost of your policy will be adjusted to include the medical premium. You decide if you are happy to proceed and buy, if not – that’s okay, we understand. Our philosophy is that, for people with known health conditions, we want them to travel with certainty, knowing that their conditions are covered. There is no option for customers with known health conditions to opt out of paying the additional medical premium.

In the unlikely event we can’t cover your conditions, we will offer you a modified policy with limited emergency medical cover. Again, it’s up to you to decide if you are happy to proceed with the limited cover we offer you. If you would like to buy from us, and aren’t 100% sure if our policy is right for you, we suggest you ask family or someone else you trust for help. Once you’ve bought a policy, provided you haven’t left on your holiday, haven’t made a claim, or intend to claim – then you can cancel within 14 days of purchase, and get a full refund.
